关于地图
Mushie Map Poster & Print
Mushie is a town in Mai-Ndombe province in the western Democratic Republic of the Congo. It lies near the meeting point of the Fimi and the Kasai, one of the great tributaries of the Congo, whose lower course below this confluence is known as the Kwa. On a map, water dominates: broad channels, sandbanks and islands shape the setting far more than the streets do.
The town itself is modest in extent, with a few roads following the riverbank and paths leading inland. Around it the landscape alternates between open savanna and strips of forest along the waterways. In this part of the country rivers have long been the main routes for people and goods, and the town's position reflects that directly.
A Mushie map poster is less about an urban grid and more about geography. The wide, braided river, the confluence and the small cluster of streets on the bank make a spare, almost abstract composition. For anyone connected to the town, it shows exactly where it sits within one of the largest river systems in the world.

Braided channels
Sandbanks and islands split the rivers into several channels, giving the water a layered, woven look when printed in black and white.
Riverbank streets
The town's roads follow the bank and reach a short distance inland, a compact settlement set against wide open water and country.

为什么选 Mushie
一张有意义的地图
A map of Mushie is a way to keep a remote birthplace or family town close, especially for those now living in Kinshasa or abroad. The rivers make it distinctive and easy to recognise.
You can write your own title and subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black and white to Blueprint, then download HD files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a matte poster from a print partner.
