Rectangular grid
The city is organised on straight, near-perpendicular streets, and the larger blocks of the newer districts give the poster a strong, orderly structure from edge to edge.

关于地图
Nangong Map Poster & Print
Nangong is a county-level city under Xingtai in southern Hebei, set on the North China Plain where the land is almost perfectly flat. That flatness shapes the map: long straight roads, a mostly rectangular pattern of city blocks and a clear edge where the built-up area meets a wide spread of fields.
The older centre has smaller, tighter blocks, while newer districts are laid out on a larger grid with broad avenues and big residential compounds, a pattern familiar across many northern Chinese cities. Beyond, villages sit as small, dense islands in the farmland, linked by straight country roads and field boundaries.
The name is an old one, carried by a county in this area for many centuries. A Nangong map poster presents the city as it appears from above today, a strong rectilinear core surrounded by an agricultural pattern of lines and dots, simple enough to read at a glance and detailed enough to reward a closer look.

Dense old centre
Where the town is oldest the blocks are smaller and the streets more closely spaced, a darker, finer patch within the wider grid.
Village islands
Around the city, compact villages dot the open plain, each a small cluster of lanes linked to its neighbours by straight rural roads.
