关于地图
Navrongo Map Poster & Print
Navrongo is in the Upper East Region of Ghana, close to the border with Burkina Faso. The terrain is flat and open, and the town spreads out from a central area along several main roads. Compounds and fields interlock at the edges, so the map moves gradually from dense streets to scattered homesteads rather than stopping at a clear boundary.
The town is known for its cathedral, Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, a large earthen building associated with the Catholic mission that arrived in the early twentieth century. North-west of the town lies the Tono reservoir, created for irrigation. On the map it appears as a broad body of water with an irregular shoreline, the largest single shape on the sheet.
A Navrongo map poster works well when framed to include both the town and the reservoir, which gives the composition a natural balance between settlement and water. In black and white, the fine network of roads contrasts with the smooth expanse of the lake. The result is a map that is simple to read and rewarding to study.

The historic mission and cathedral grounds occupy a distinct place in the town plan, one of the landmarks residents use to orient themselves.
Savanna edges
At its outskirts the town dissolves into compounds, farm plots and footpaths, creating a softly scattered pattern around the denser centre.
