Lake DeForest
The reservoir runs as a slender band of water along the eastern side of the area, giving the composition a clear natural boundary and a calm, open space.

关于地图
New City Map Poster & Print
New City is a hamlet in the town of Clarkstown and the county seat of Rockland County, New York, west of the Hudson River. Its map is a study in postwar suburban form: winding residential roads, loops and dead-end courts branching off a small number of older through routes that once linked farms and villages.
To the east, Lake DeForest, a reservoir on the Hackensack River, stretches north to south as a long, narrow body of water. It gives the map a strong vertical element and a clean edge against which the surrounding neighbourhoods are arranged, while wooded parcels and parkland fill many of the gaps between streets.
A New City map poster shows the county centre, with its government buildings and main commercial roads, surrounded by the quieter pattern of the neighbourhoods where most residents actually live. It is a natural choice for people who grew up here and now live in Manhattan or further away.

Cul-de-sac neighbourhoods
Residential areas are built around looping roads and short courts, which appear on the map as branching, leaf-like shapes rather than a grid.
County seat centre
The older crossroads at the heart of the hamlet, home to Rockland County's government, forms the most connected part of the network where through roads meet.

为什么选 New City
一张有意义的地图
Suburban maps are often more personal than city ones: the exact curve of your street, the route to school, the road to the lake. A New City poster makes those patterns visible and gives them a place on the wall.
Customise the title and subtitle, add a move-in or graduation date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a matte print in 18×24″ or 24×36″, or download the files for $9.
