关于地图
Nova Russas Map Poster & Print
Nova Russas sits in the western interior of Ceará, in the semi-arid backlands that Brazilians call the sertão. From above, the town is a tight cluster of streets that ends abruptly at open country. Beyond the last blocks, the map changes to scattered farm tracks, seasonal watercourses and the small dammed reservoirs that dry regions rely on to get through the long months without rain.
The street pattern is simple and easy to read. A handful of main roads come in from neighbouring municipalities and join near the centre, and a mostly regular grid of residential blocks fills the space between them. Churches, squares and the market area usually form the civic core in towns of this kind, and they appear on the map as small breaks in the otherwise even rhythm of the blocks.
A Nova Russas map poster shows how the town holds together in a wide landscape. Printed in black and white, the dense centre becomes a dark mark surrounded by thin lines fading into caatinga scrubland. It suits someone who grew up here, left for Fortaleza or further afield, and wants a quiet reminder of home.

Reservoirs and streams
Small dams and seasonal streams show up as irregular shapes and thin lines around the town, marking where water is stored in this semi-arid part of Ceará.
Compact grid
Residential blocks are laid out in a mostly regular grid, so the built-up area reads as a dense, even pattern with a sharp edge at the rural fringe.

为什么选 Nova Russas
一张有意义的地图
People hang this map to keep hold of a specific place: a childhood street, a family house, the square where the town met on feast days. A small town's layout is personal, and seeing it drawn precisely makes it easier to talk about.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a family name or the year someone moved away. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
