La Mola hill
Just outside the centre, the castle and the Modernista sanctuary share a small rise, which shows on the map as a separate cluster of paths set apart from the town grid.

关于地图
Novelda Map Poster & Print
Novelda sits in the middle Vinalopó valley in the province of Alicante, where the river bed runs as a thin line past the town. From above, the old centre is a tight cluster of short, irregular streets. Wider avenues and later housing blocks surround it, then give way to cultivated plots and the pale, broken ground of the surrounding hills.
The town is known for two very different things. One is its stone industry, as Novelda has long been a centre for cutting and trading marble. The other is saffron, which local firms have packed and sold around the world for generations. The Modernista heritage is just as distinctive, with a house-museum in the centre and the sanctuary of Santa María Magdalena on the hill of La Mola, next to the old castle.
A Novelda map poster shows these layers in plain linework. You see the dense core, the roads leading out toward Alicante and Elda, the dry river course and the outlying hill with its castle and sanctuary. With colour stripped away, the plan reads clearly as a valley town that grew outward from a single knot of streets.

Vinalopó river course
The Vinalopó passes through the valley as a narrow, often dry channel, a faint line that follows the lowest ground past the town.
Compact old centre
The historic streets form a dense, irregular knot, and the later avenues and blocks surrounding it make the town's growth over time easy to read.

为什么选 Novelda
一张有意义的地图
People hang this map because Novelda is a specific place with a specific story, whether that is stone, saffron or a family house near the centre. The layout is recognisable to anyone who has walked from the old streets up toward La Mola.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a family name or a year, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 HD download or as a printed, optionally framed poster.
