关于地图
Novo Oriente Map Poster & Print
Novo Oriente is in western Ceará, in the semi-arid sertão near the Piauí border. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets in a wide landscape of scrub, seasonal streams and scattered farms. The contrast is strong. Dense, regular blocks sit in the middle of open land, and roads leave the edge in several directions toward neighbouring municipalities.
The centre follows the pattern of many interior towns in northeast Brazil, with rectilinear blocks, a main square and a church at the heart of the plan. Newer streets extend the grid outward on flat ground, sometimes changing direction where they meet a dirt road or a watercourse. Small reservoirs, important in a dry climate, dot the countryside around.
A monochrome print suits this kind of place. The tight grid reads almost like a textile, and the empty space around it says as much about the sertão as any line could. A Novo Oriente map poster is for people who know the town from the inside, whether they still live there or are carrying it with them elsewhere.

Roads to the sertão
Several roads leave town in different directions, drawing long lines across the open land toward nearby communities in Ceará and Piauí.
Reservoirs
Small reservoirs and seasonal streams around the town appear as irregular shapes, a reminder of how much water matters in this region.
