关于地图
Ogura Map Poster & Print
Ogura lies in Gunma Prefecture, at the northwestern edge of the Kantō Plain, where the flat land begins to rise toward the mountains of central Japan. Communities here combine suburban housing with small farms, and the prefecture is known for the dry winter wind, the karakkaze, that sweeps down from the mountains across the plain.
From above, the area has the fine-grained texture typical of rural and peri-urban Japan. Narrow lanes wind between houses and field plots, while a few wider roads cut straighter paths toward neighbouring towns. There is no single dense centre; instead, clusters of buildings spread across the landscape, separated by patches of cultivated land that the map renders as calm open space.
An Ogura map poster suits residents, people who grew up in Gunma and later moved to Tokyo, and anyone who knows this corner of the prefecture well. Its intricate lanes create a delicate, almost textile pattern on paper, quite different from the gridded order of a large Japanese city.

Field patchwork
Cultivated plots appear as open spaces between clusters of buildings, a reminder that farming and housing still sit side by side here.
Connecting roads
Wider roads run more directly across the area toward nearby towns, forming the strongest lines on the map and tying the scattered clusters together.

为什么选 Ogura
一张有意义的地图
An Ogura map is for someone who knows its lanes by bicycle or on foot, perhaps through a family home or a childhood spent at the edge of the plain. The print keeps that memory precise and understated.
Set the title in the romanised name or a family name, add a date to the subtitle, and choose a style; Paper and Sand suit the soft agricultural texture especially well. Download six sizes for $9 or order a framed print.
