关于地图
Oktyabr’sk Map Poster & Print
Oktyabr’sk lies on the right bank of the Volga in Samara Oblast, facing the wide water of the Saratov Reservoir. The town developed around the railway, and on a map it still reads that way: a narrow band of streets pressed between the river and the rising bank, with the tracks running through it toward the crossing.
That crossing is the Alexander Bridge, opened in 1880 and for years counted among the longest railway bridges in Europe. It carries the line from central Russia toward the Urals and beyond, and on a poster it forms a single decisive stroke across the pale expanse of the river, giving a small town an unusually strong graphic identity.
An Oktyabr’sk map poster works best when the frame takes in both shores. The contrast between the dense, linear town and the open reservoir, crossed by the bridge, is what makes the composition. In a minimalist style the water becomes negative space, and the streets and tracks become fine lines tracing where people settled beside it.

Saratov Reservoir
The dammed Volga spreads wide at this point, so the river appears on the poster as a broad open field rather than a narrow channel.
Railway spine
The town grew beside the tracks, and the rail line remains a clear organising axis running roughly parallel to the riverside streets.

为什么选 Oktyabr’sk
一张有意义的地图
For railway enthusiasts, former residents and anyone with family roots on the Volga, Oktyabr’sk is a place where geography and engineering meet in one view. A map of it is less about decoration than about recognising a landscape that shaped journeys across the country.
Every poster can carry a title, subtitle and coordinates line of your choice, so you can mark a hometown or a particular year. It comes in five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint, as a $9 download in six sizes or as a printed matte poster.
