Oliva Map Poster & Print
Oliva lies on the Mediterranean coast of Valencia, at the southern end of the Safor district. The historic town climbs a low hill a few kilometres inland, while a strip of beach development runs along the sea, and between them stretches a flat plain of orange groves crossed by irrigation channels and country roads.
The old quarter has narrow, curving streets that follow the slope toward the remains of a castle on the hill. To the south lies the Marjal de Pego-Oliva, a protected wetland of reeds and rice fields, and the long, straight coastline runs in a clean line along the eastern edge of the town.
An Oliva map poster reflects the town's three layers: the dense hillside centre, the geometric plain of groves and the linear beachfront. The long shoreline anchors the frame, and the regular plots of the plain give the drawing its restful, measured texture.
