关于地图
Orsha Map Poster & Print
Orsha sits on the Dnieper in eastern Belarus, at the point where the smaller Orshitsa River flows into it. From above, the two rivers divide the city into several parts. The historic centre occupies the ground near the confluence, while newer residential districts spread out across the flat land to either side.
The city is one of the main railway junctions in the country, where lines towards Minsk, Moscow, Vitebsk and the south meet. On the map, the tracks and sidings form broad bands that cut through the street pattern. Orsha is also known in history for the battle fought nearby in 1514.
An Orsha map poster puts the rivers and railways at the centre of the composition. The curving Dnieper, the thinner Orshitsa and the straight, fanning rail lines produce a lively interplay of lines. Blocks of housing and green river banks fill the space between them.

Rail junction
Several main lines meet here, and their tracks and yards spread across the city in wide, gently curving bands that stand out clearly.
Dnieper banks
The main river runs through the city with open green margins along its banks, which give the denser districts room to breathe on the map.
