Pallisa Map Poster & Print
Pallisa is the main town of Pallisa District in Eastern Uganda, in a low, gently rolling landscape south of Lake Kyoga. The countryside is agricultural, with smallholdings growing crops such as millet, cassava, rice and cotton, and it is laced with seasonal swamps and wetlands that drain toward the lake system. The town is the administrative and market centre of the district.
On a map, Pallisa is a modest cluster of streets around a central market and trading area, with roads leading out toward neighbouring districts. Beyond the town, the land opens into small fields and scattered homesteads, crossed by the irregular, branching shapes of wetlands. The pattern is loose and organic, far from the density of a big city.
