Scattered settlements
Instead of a single core, the map shows several distinct built-up clusters linked by roads. This reflects how the town grew around mining activity.

关于地图
Parāsia Map Poster & Print
Parāsia is in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, in the Pench valley coalfield on the Satpura plateau. Coal mining has shaped the area for generations. On the map, this appears as a scattered form: several clusters of houses, mining colonies and market streets connected by roads, rather than one single dense centre.
The surrounding terrain is uneven, with low hills, stretches of forest and watercourses that cross the valley. Roads bend to follow the land and connect Parāsia with nearby mining settlements and with Chhindwara town. The result is an irregular, spread-out network that is quite different from the gridded plans of newer industrial towns.
A Parāsia map poster captures this working landscape in a restrained form. For people who grew up in the colonies or whose families worked in the mines, the map shows a very personal geography, where every cluster of streets has its own name and history.

Valley roads
The main roads follow the terrain through the valley and link Parāsia with Chhindwara and the nearby coalfield towns.
Satpura landscape
Around the town, hills, forest and streams create a more irregular backdrop and give the map an organic, uneven texture.
