Colonial centre
The historic core keeps a small, regular pattern of blocks around its main square, a clear rectangle of order within the much looser surrounding fabric.

关于地图
Petare Map Poster & Print
Petare stands at the eastern end of the Caracas valley, where the valley floor narrows and the Guaire River flows on toward the east. The city belongs to the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, yet on a map it runs directly into the capital, its streets continuous with the eastern districts of Caracas.
At its heart is a colonial historic centre, a compact grid around a plaza and church that predates much of modern Caracas. Around it, the hillsides are covered by some of the largest informal neighbourhoods in Latin America, where stairways and footpaths climb slopes far too steep for regular streets.
A Petare map poster draws out that sharp contrast: the orderly little grid of the old town, the broad avenues and the Metro terminus on the valley floor, and the dense, branching lines of paths that spread over the hills like the veins of a leaf. It is a demanding, honest portrait of a real city.

Hillside barrios
On the slopes, narrow lanes and stairways branch and fork in every direction, producing the densest and most intricate texture anywhere on the map.
Valley floor
Along the Guaire River, wide roads and the end of Caracas Metro Line 1 mark the flatter ground where the city connects westward to the capital.

为什么选 Petare
一张有意义的地图
Petare means family, neighbourhood and memory for a great many people, including those who now live far from Venezuela. A map of its hills and streets holds onto that connection in a form that is calm and unsentimental, and fits any room.
Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint or Sand, then add your own title, subtitle and a date on the coordinates line. The free 900 px preview lets you check the framing before you buy the HD files.
