关于地图
Pokrov Map Poster & Print
Pokrov lies in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in southern Ukraine, near Nikopol and not far from the Dnipro. It was known as Ordzhonikidze until 2016, when it was renamed as part of Ukraine's decommunisation laws. The town grew around manganese mining, and much of its street plan dates from the Soviet period, with regular blocks and broad avenues.
The Nikopol manganese basin is one of the largest in the world, and the mining around Pokrov has reshaped the land. Open pits, spoil heaps and industrial sites spread across the steppe outside town. They create unusual shapes on a map, very different from the neat residential blocks.
A Pokrov map poster shows a town and its industry side by side. There are orderly housing blocks, wide streets and green spaces in the centre. Around them, the large, irregular forms of the mining landscape sit on flat, open ground. It is a frank and striking portrait of a working town.

为什么选 Pokrov
一张有意义的地图
For people from Pokrov, including those who have had to live far from it in recent years, the map is a steady image of home. It also appeals to anyone interested in industrial landscapes.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir gives the mining landforms real weight.
