关于地图
Polavaram Map Poster & Print
Polavaram lies on the banks of the Godavari River in Andhra Pradesh, at a point where the river emerges from the hills of the Eastern Ghats toward the coastal plain. The town is known across India for the Polavaram Project, a large multipurpose dam and irrigation scheme on the Godavari.
On the map, the river is everything. The Godavari appears as a very wide ribbon, with sandbanks and islands depending on the season, and the town's streets line its bank. Hills rise upstream, while downstream the land flattens into farmland crossed by canals leading toward the delta.
A Polavaram map poster is essentially a portrait of a great river. The wide water dominates the frame, the town forms a compact band of streets along the shore, and the change from hills to plains is visible in the roads. It is a bold, simple composition.

Riverbank town
The streets follow the river's bank closely, forming a long, narrow built-up strip rather than a round centre.
Hills to plains
Upstream the land rises into the Eastern Ghats, while downstream the terrain opens into flat farmland, a transition you can read in the roads.
