Afon Lwyd valley
The river runs from north to south through the town. Roads and the railway follow it, so the valley floor is where most of the long lines on the map meet.

关于地图
Pontypool Map Poster & Print
Pontypool is in Torfaen, southeast Wales, where the valley of the Afon Lwyd widens as it goes south. On a map, the town follows the river and the valley floor. Terraced streets climb the slopes on either side in long, parallel rows. Pontypool Park, a large green space next to the town centre, fills much of the frame.
The town grew with the iron and coal industries of the valley. In the eighteenth century it was known for Pontypool japanware, a type of lacquered metal. Further up the valley, Blaenavon is part of a UNESCO World Heritage industrial landscape. Pontypool is also known for its rugby club, which has a long history in Welsh rugby.
A Pontypool map poster makes the shape of a valley town very clear. The river and main roads run down the middle, terraces follow the contours on each side, and the park forms a wide open area near the centre. It is a map that looks like the place feels.

Hillside terraces
Rows of terraced houses follow the slopes in long, parallel lines. On the poster they create a regular striped pattern on both sides of the valley.
Pontypool Park
The large park next to the town centre is one of the largest open areas on the map. It forms a broad, calm space among the streets.
