关于地图
Poptún Map Poster & Print
Poptún lies in the south-central part of Petén, Guatemala's large northern department. It sits on an unusual patch of open savanna surrounded by forested hills. The main highway running north towards Flores passes through the town, and its streets form a fairly regular grid spreading out from the road across the level ground.
East of the town, the land rises towards the Maya Mountains, which stretch across the border into Belize. The municipality around Poptún includes Naj Tunich, a cave known for its ancient Maya paintings and inscriptions. It's one of the notable archaeological sites of the region, though it lies outside the town itself.
A Poptún map poster shows a frontier town laid out on open ground. It has a clear grid, a strong highway axis, and landscape edges that change from savanna to forest. Printed in black and white, the town's planned layout stands out against the much larger empty space of the Petén around it.

Savanna grid
On the flat, open land, the streets form a regular grid of blocks. The orderly pattern stands out against the irregular forest and hills that surround the savanna.
Forested edges
Beyond the town, the map empties into wide open space, standing in for the forests and hills of Petén. The white margin gives the town a clear, contained shape.

为什么选 Poptún
一张有意义的地图
Poptún is a stop on the long road through Petén and a home for many families in the region. A map poster of it suits people from the town, travellers on the route to Tikal and Flores, and anyone with a connection to Guatemala's north.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a travel date or a family name. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
