关于地图
Pūrna Map Poster & Print
Pūrna lies in Parbhani district in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, and it takes its name from the Purna River, which flows near the town. From above, the land is flat, open and cultivated, and the town appears as a compact cluster within it. The river's winding line adds a natural curve to an otherwise level landscape.
The town is best known as a railway junction, and the tracks are a defining feature of the map. Rail lines arrive from different directions and meet here, with sidings and yards spreading beside them. Streets on each side of the railway developed somewhat separately, which gives the plan a divided, two-part character.
A Pūrna map poster brings those elements together: the smooth arcs of the rail lines, the denser old streets, and the river nearby. In black and white, the tracks become confident, sweeping strokes that give the design an almost technical quality, which is appropriate for a place whose identity has long been tied to the railway.

Purna River
The river after which the town is named winds through the nearby plain. It adds a natural, meandering line to the composition.
Divided town plan
The railway splits the town into distinct parts. On the poster this creates two clusters of streets connected by a few crossings.
