Slopes of Slamet
Mount Slamet rises directly to the north. The city's streets and rivers run down from its lower slopes, which gives the whole map a gentle north–south orientation.

关于地图
Purwokerto Map Poster & Print
Purwokerto lies in western Central Java, on the lower slopes of Mount Slamet, the province's highest volcano. On a map the city is a fairly regular grid that runs north towards the mountain. Rivers flow south through it from the higher ground, and villages and green space soon take over at the edges.
It is the main city of Banyumas Regency and the centre of the Banyumasan cultural area, which has its own dialect and traditions. Jenderal Soedirman University is here, and large numbers of students give the city much of its character. The hill resort of Baturraden sits higher on the slopes to the north.
A Purwokerto map poster has a clear sense of direction. The streets lean towards the volcano, watercourses run parallel down the slope, and the city fades into terraced fields. It is an orderly composition with an open, rural edge.

Central grid
The downtown area follows a regular grid of streets around the town square. It is easy to read and contrasts with the looser village roads at the edges.
River lines
Several streams flow south through the city from the volcano. Their parallel courses create thin, repeating lines across the urban area.

为什么选 Purwokerto
一张有意义的地图
Purwokerto is where many people spent their student years, and where others grew up with the volcano on the horizon. A map of the city holds those memories in a quiet, graphic form.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a campus or graduation year, and a coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the stream lines strong contrast.
