Peninsulas and necks
Squantum, Houghs Neck and Germantown stretch into the bay. Each has its own small street network, and together they give the coastline a complex, fingered shape.

关于地图
Quincy Map Poster & Print
Quincy lies just south of Boston, and its map is shaped by the sea. The coastline breaks into peninsulas and inlets: Squantum reaches north, Houghs Neck and Germantown push into Quincy Bay, and the long curve of Wollaston Beach runs between them. Inland, residential streets fill the gaps between the water and the wooded hills of the Blue Hills area to the south.
Quincy is often called the City of Presidents, because John Adams and John Quincy Adams were both born here. Its granite quarries supplied stone across New England, and the Granite Railway, built in 1826 to carry it, is generally regarded as one of the first commercial railways in the United States. The Fore River shipyard also built ships here for generations.
A Quincy map poster has an unusually intricate outline for a city of its size. The layout combines ragged shorelines, marshes, the Red Line cutting through the middle and the tight grid of the older neighbourhoods. It rewards a close look, and in any of the five styles it holds the detail well.

Wollaston Beach curve
A long, smooth arc of shoreline faces Quincy Bay. Its clean line contrasts with the broken edges of the peninsulas on either side.
Quarry hills
West of the centre, the old granite quarry land and wooded hills break up the street grid. This is the ground that made Quincy's name in stone.

为什么选 Quincy
一张有意义的地图
Quincy draws history readers, commuters on the Red Line and families with several generations on the South Shore. The coastline alone is reason enough to frame it. For many people, it also shows exactly which neck or beach they call home.
Use the title and subtitle for a neighbourhood, a street or a date, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files come in six sizes, including 18×24″ and 24×36″.
