关于地图
Recanto das Emas Map Poster & Print
Recanto das Emas is one of the administrative regions of Brazil's Federal District, southwest of the Plano Piloto of Brasília. It was created in the early 1990s as a planned settlement, and its map shows that origin clearly. Residential blocks, known as quadras, are arranged in orderly rows along the main avenues.
The name means roughly corner, or refuge, of the rheas, the large flightless birds of the Brazilian cerrado. In places the surrounding landscape is still savanna and gallery forest. From above, the regular geometry of the town ends sharply where the cerrado begins, and streams and green strips mark the edges.
The internal pattern is dense and repetitive: small house lots packed into rectangular blocks, broken by wider avenues, schools, parks and commercial strips. A Recanto das Emas map poster turns that planned order into a graphic pattern. It is a close relative of Brasília's modernist geometry, but at a more personal, neighbourhood scale.

Main avenues
Wide avenues cross the town and separate its sectors. They provide the strong lines that organise the dense block pattern into clear parts.
Cerrado edge
The planned grid ends abruptly against open savanna and wooded stream valleys, giving the town a crisp outline on the central plateau.

为什么选 Recanto das Emas
一张有意义的地图
Recanto das Emas grew from a new settlement into a full community within a single generation, and many residents remember its early years. A map of the town honours that story by drawing its quadras, avenues and edges as they are today.
Set the title and subtitle to your own quadra, a family name or a meaningful date, or keep the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order HD files for $9 or a printed poster.
