关于地图
Sacramento Map Poster & Print
Sacramento grew at the confluence of the Sacramento and American rivers. It began as a landing point for the gold rush that started in 1848 and later became the state capital of California. The Sacramento River forms the western edge of downtown, and the American River curves in from the northeast to join it just north of the centre. Both rivers are lined with levees, parkland and long bridges.
Downtown and Midtown follow one of the most legible grids in the West. Numbered streets run roughly north to south, lettered streets run east to west, and the blocks are almost uniform. Capitol Park forms a long green rectangle at the heart of the grid, stretching east from the Capitol building. Old Sacramento keeps its nineteenth-century waterfront beside the gold-painted Tower Bridge.
A Sacramento map poster rewards close looking. The strict grid gives way to curving suburbs, freeway interchanges and the green spaces of Land Park and McKinley Park, and the rivers wind through it all with open floodplain on either side. The capital is drawn in calm, precise lines, and the lettered street names make it easy to find your own block.

River confluence
The American River meets the Sacramento just north of downtown in a wide Y of water and green levees that gives the city its northern and western edges.
Capitol Park
The long rectangle of Capitol Park runs east from the Capitol building through the grid. It is one of the clearest open spaces on the map and a natural focal point.

为什么选 Sacramento
一张有意义的地图
Sacramento is a city of long-time residents and state workers, of student years at Sacramento State and Midtown apartments near the parks. A poster of the grid is a simple way to mark a first home, a job near the Capitol or a childhood along the rivers.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a street corner or a move-in date. Choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 HD files include 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs in six sizes, with no watermark.
