The market square
The historic square with its town hall forms the densest part of the map, a small block of short streets from which the main roads run out in several directions.

关于地图
Sambir Map Poster & Print
From above, Sambir sits close to the upper Dniester, where the river winds through a broad, flat valley before the land starts rising toward the Carpathians. The town's streets gather around a historic market square, and the blocks nearest it are small and irregular. Further out, the pattern loosens into wider residential streets, gardens and field edges. The river line and the town's dense core give the map a clear, readable anchor.
Sambir has long been one of the main towns of the western Lviv region. It grew up as a trading place on routes toward the mountains and the Polish border, and its town hall still stands on the central square. On paper, that history shows up as a tight central knot of streets with roads running out from it toward the neighbouring villages and valleys.
A Sambir map poster turns this layout into quiet black lines on white: the curve of the Dniester, the rectangle of the old square, and the railway lines that cut across the town's edge. There are no labels competing for attention, so the eye follows the shape of the place itself. Seen this way, the town looks almost like a woodcut, simple and balanced.

Upper Dniester valley
The Dniester runs close to the town through a wide, flat valley, and its looping course and nearby water channels add soft curves beside the straighter street grid.
Railway lines
Sambir is a railway junction, and the rail lines appear as long, clean strokes along the edge of the built-up area, contrasting with the older street pattern.

为什么选 Sambir
一张有意义的地图
For people from Sambir, or whose families come from this corner of Galicia, the map is a way to keep the town's shape close: the square, the river, the roads out toward the villages. It works as a quiet reminder of home, a gift for relatives abroad, or a marker of a family story.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name, a date or a short dedication, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and come in six print sizes. Printed posters on matte paper, framed if you like, are also available.
