关于地图
Same Map Poster & Print
Same is a district town in the Kilimanjaro Region of northern Tanzania, at the foot of the South Pare Mountains. The main road between Dar es Salaam and Moshi passes through it, and so does the old railway line to the north. Both run along the lowland at the base of the range, and the town's streets are strung along these corridors.
From above, Same looks long and narrow. A main road carries the market area and side streets, residential quarters spread onto gentle slopes, and then the mountains rise abruptly and roads turn into winding tracks. On the other side, the plains stretch toward the dry lowlands of Mkomazi National Park.
A Same map poster shows a town defined by the meeting of mountain and plain. The highway forms a firm spine, the town's lanes branch off it, and the contours of the Pare range press in from one side. It is a straightforward, honest composition with a clear sense of place.

South Pare foothills
The mountains rise steeply behind the town, and the roads that climb into them curl in tight switchbacks, in clear contrast to the straight lowland streets.
Railway corridor
The historic northern railway line runs through Same parallel to the road. It adds a second long, straight line across the lower part of the town.
