关于地图
San Rafael Map Poster & Print
San Rafael is an oasis city in southern Mendoza, laid out on an orderly grid in dry country at the foot of the Andes. From above, the urban blocks give way to an even finer pattern of farms, vineyards and orchards. These are all fed by irrigation channels drawn from the Diamante and Atuel rivers, which run to the north and south of the city.
The irrigation network is the key to the landscape. Water runs along the streets in open channels, and it is what allows the tree-lined avenues and the surrounding vineyards to grow. The region is known for wine and fruit, and the Atuel canyon to the south, with its reservoirs and dams, is a popular destination.
A San Rafael map poster shows how human order meets an arid landscape. The rectangular town grid fades into long agricultural parcels, all divided by straight roads and water channels. In black and white, the pattern becomes almost textile-like, with the two rivers curving across it as the only lines not drawn with a ruler.

Two rivers
The Diamante and Atuel rivers frame the irrigated zone, and their braided, curving courses cut through the otherwise geometric farmland.
Vineyard parcels
Long, narrow agricultural plots spread out from the city in every direction and give the poster a fine, rhythmic striped texture.

为什么选 San Rafael
一张有意义的地图
Wine lovers, travellers who have visited the Atuel canyon, and people born in southern Mendoza all have reasons to hang this map. It shows a place where careful water management turned the desert green.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a vintage year or the name of a winery. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand fits the dry Andean foothills naturally.
