关于地图
Shafi Pur Ranhola Map Poster & Print
Shafi Pur Ranhola is a census town on the western side of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. From above, it looks very different from the planned colonies elsewhere in the city. The streets are narrow and closely set, and they turn at irregular angles, which is typical of a former village that the growing metropolis has absorbed.
Like many places on Delhi's edge, it has grown quickly as people moved in and housing filled the gaps between older lanes. The map shows that growth as a dense, fine-grained network. Larger roads cut through it and connect it to the rest of west Delhi, and pockets of open land still show at the margins.
A Shafi Pur Ranhola map poster shows the texture of informal urban growth at close range. With no grand avenues, the picture is all about the pattern of small streets. On paper it has an almost woven quality, very different from the geometry of planned districts.

Village origins
The irregular street pattern reflects a village absorbed by the expanding city. It contrasts with Delhi's planned neighbourhoods nearby.
Connecting roads
A few wider roads cut through the dense fabric and link it to west Delhi. They add strong lines to an otherwise delicate map.
