关于地图
Siavonga Map Poster & Print
Siavonga sits on the northern shore of Lake Kariba in Zambia's Southern Province, a short distance from the Kariba Dam. The shoreline is heavily indented, with bays, narrow inlets and headlands. Roads wind over the hills between them, and lodges and houses occupy the slopes above the water.
Lake Kariba was created when the Kariba Dam on the Zambezi River was completed in the late 1950s, and it remains one of the largest man-made lakes in the world by volume. A Siavonga map poster shows the drowned valleys of that lake as a complex, branching coastline.
The town is known for fishing, boating and relaxed lakeside holidays. On the map, the built-up areas are small and spread out. Most of the frame is taken up by water and hills, which gives the design a spacious and uncluttered look.

Dam nearby
The Kariba Dam on the Zambezi lies a short distance from town. It is the reason the lake exists and the town grew here.
Hillside roads
Streets climb and curve over the hills between the bays. They follow the ground closely and create loose, flowing lines on the map.
