Sonian Forest
The old beech forest on the northeastern side fills a large part of the map. Straight forest avenues and paths cross it in a delicate geometric pattern.

关于地图
Sint-Genesius-Rode Map Poster & Print
Sint-Genesius-Rode, known in French as Rhode-Saint-Genèse, is a municipality in Flemish Brabant just south of Brussels. It is one of the Belgian municipalities with language facilities, reflecting its large French-speaking population. On a map it is a leafy residential area of winding roads, large plots and patches of woodland, bordered to the northeast by the Sonian Forest.
The Sonian Forest is the most striking element: a large expanse of old beech woods crossed by straight paths and avenues that form a fine network on the map. Elsewhere the street pattern is irregular and green, with detached houses set back from quiet roads. The main routes toward Brussels and Waterloo are the few strong lines in the composition.
A Sint-Genesius-Rode map poster reflects this quiet, wooded character. It appeals to residents, to international families who lived in the area while working in Brussels, and to walkers who know the forest trails. The clear contrast between forest and housing makes the print especially effective in the darker Noir style.

Villa streets
Residential roads curve gently between large gardens and wooded plots. The open, irregular pattern is quite unlike the dense grids of central Brussels.
Road to Waterloo
The main road from Brussels to Waterloo passes through the municipality. It is a strong line that anchors the composition and links the town to its neighbours.
