关于地图
Sirjan Map Poster & Print
Sirjan lies on a broad, high plain in Kerman province in southeastern Iran. The landscape is dry and open, with mountains on the horizon, and the city spreads across it in a fairly regular pattern of avenues and blocks. On a map, the straight lines of roads and orchard boundaries dominate, interrupted only by the curves of a few major routes.
The surrounding plain is one of Iran's main pistachio-growing areas, and walled orchards cover large stretches around the city. Sirjan is also known for its Special Economic Zone and for the Golgohar iron ore mine to the southwest, one of the largest in the country, which has made the city an important industrial centre in the region.
A Sirjan map poster reflects a city laid out with room to spare. Wide avenues, generous blocks and the geometric outlines of orchards make a clean, orderly composition. In monochrome, the pattern takes on the quality of a technical drawing, well suited to a place defined by planning, farming and industry.

Pistachio orchards
Walled orchards surround the city in a patchwork of rectangles, extending the geometric pattern of the streets into the agricultural land beyond.
Desert plain
The open, dry plain around Sirjan leaves wide empty areas on the map, making the urban and orchard patterns stand out sharply.
