关于地图
Skardu Map Poster & Print
Skardu lies in a broad, high valley in Baltistan, where the Indus River opens into a wide, braided plain before narrowing again between steep mountains. From above, the town spreads along the southern edge of this flat valley floor. The river's shifting channels and pale sandbanks lie to the north, and bare slopes rise sharply behind it.
The streets form a loose network around a main bazaar road, with orchards, fields and irrigation channels threaded between the houses. The airport sits on the open plain to the west. A rocky ridge by the river carries the old Kharpocho fort, which overlooks the town. Unusually for such high ground, the valley holds stretches of sand dunes, sometimes called a cold desert.
Skardu is the gateway for expeditions to K2 and the Baltoro Glacier, and nearby lakes such as Satpara and Kachura draw visitors in summer. A Skardu map poster shows a town that feels small against its setting: a scatter of streets between a great river and ranges that fill the frame.

为什么选 Skardu
一张有意义的地图
This map is for trekkers, climbers and families from Baltistan, anyone who connects Skardu with a journey to the high peaks or with home. The contrast between the river plain and the mountains is especially striking in black and white.
Add an expedition name, a date or a family name to the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as HD files or as a printed, optionally framed poster.
