River Gipping
The Gipping winds through the valley floor past the town centre. It gives the map a soft, curving line alongside the straighter paths of the railway and roads.

关于地图
Stowmarket Map Poster & Print
Stowmarket sits in the valley of the River Gipping in the middle of Suffolk. From above, three lines organise the town. The river runs roughly north-west to south-east, the main railway line from London to Norwich follows it, and the A14 bypass curves around the southern and western edges. The older market streets cluster between them, and newer estates spread up the gentle slopes on either side.
The historic centre forms a small, irregular core around the market place and the parish church of St Peter and St Mary, whose tall spire is a local landmark. The town grew as a market and then as an industrial centre after the river was made navigable towards Ipswich in the eighteenth century. It is also home to the Food Museum, set in open grounds close to the centre.
A Stowmarket map poster shows a classic English market town: a knotted core, a river valley and the long clean arcs of road and rail passing through. Outside the town, the lanes thin out into farmland, which leaves plenty of quiet space around the centre. The layout is easy to recognise for anyone who has lived here or passed through on the train.

Market town core
Around the market place and the parish church, the streets are short and irregular. They form the densest and oldest part of the poster.
The A14 arc
The dual carriageway sweeps around the edge of Stowmarket in a long, smooth curve. It frames the town and separates the streets from the fields beyond.

为什么选 Stowmarket
一张有意义的地图
Stowmarket is the kind of place people remember by its streets: the walk from the station, the market place, the paths along the river. A clean map poster keeps those routes in view and works well in a kitchen, a study or as a housewarming gift.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a wedding date or the year you moved in. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF in six sizes, with no watermark.
