Curving subdivisions
Neighbourhoods are built around loops, crescents and cul-de-sacs typical of postwar suburban planning. Together they give the map a rhythmic, almost ornamental texture.

关于地图
Streamwood Map Poster & Print
Streamwood is a village in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, in Cook County near Elgin. It was incorporated in 1957 and grew during the postwar suburban expansion, and the map shows it clearly. Residential streets curve and loop in the subdivision patterns of the period, with cul-de-sacs, crescents and short connecting roads filling the space between larger arterial routes.
The village takes its name from the streams and woods of the area, and green space still shapes the plan. Poplar Creek winds through the region, and nearby forest preserves leave large open areas on the map that break up the built pattern. Major roads divide Streamwood into distinct neighbourhood blocks, each with its own internal network of curving streets.
A Streamwood map poster captures that postwar suburban geometry with unusual clarity. The looping streets create an almost decorative pattern, set off by the straight lines of the main roads and the open shapes of the forest preserves. For anyone who grew up in these neighbourhoods, the map will look instantly familiar, down to the curve of their own street.

Forest preserves
Large areas of protected woodland and creek valley near the village appear as broad open shapes. They contrast with the dense residential pattern around them.
Arterial grid
Straight main roads cut through Streamwood at regular intervals. They divide the curving neighbourhoods into distinct blocks and give the composition a clear underlying framework.

为什么选 Streamwood
一张有意义的地图
Streamwood is where many families bought their first home, and the neighbourhood loops are full of childhood memories. A map poster turns that familiar street pattern into something graphic and personal, well suited to a family room or a gift for parents who stayed.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps your family name and the year you moved in, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Try the free 900 px preview first, then download the $9 HD files or order a framed matte print.
