Plaza 25 de Mayo
The main square sits at the centre of the grid, surrounded by the cathedral and the Casa de la Libertad. On the poster it is a clear open block at the heart of the city.

关于地图
Sucre Map Poster & Print
Sucre is Bolivia's constitutional capital and home to its Supreme Court. It lies in a valley at about 2,800 metres, and its plan is a clear colonial chessboard. Square blocks spread out from the Plaza 25 de Mayo, and the regular pattern holds across the historic centre before bending where it meets rising ground. Two hills, Churuquella and Sica Sica, overlook the city.
The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its whitewashed churches and houses, which earned Sucre the name the White City. In 1825 Bolivian independence was declared in the Casa de la Libertad on the main square. Newer neighbourhoods have since climbed the valley sides and spread along the roads out of town.
A Sucre map poster works especially well in black and white. The rigid colonial grid, the open central plaza and the gradual loosening of the street pattern toward the hills make a composition that feels orderly and calm, much like the city itself.

Colonial chessboard
Straight streets and square blocks cover the historic centre. It is one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial layouts in South America, and it reads cleanly at every poster size.
Valley hills
Churuquella and Sica Sica rise above the city. As the ground climbs, the grid gives way to winding streets, and the regular pattern softens at the edges.

为什么选 Sucre
一张有意义的地图
Sucre is a university city and a popular stop for travellers crossing Bolivia, and many people stay longer than planned to study Spanish. A map of its white grid is a fitting reminder of those months in the valley.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the year you lived there. Choose from five styles. Paper and Sand suit the colonial feel, and Noir gives it a darker, more graphic look.
