Sulzbach old town
The historic centre sits on higher ground below the castle. Its irregular medieval street pattern contrasts with the more regular later neighbourhoods.

关于地图
Sulzbach-Rosenberg Map Poster & Print
Sulzbach-Rosenberg is in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria, just north of Amberg. As the double name suggests, it was formed in the 1930s by merging two settlements. Sulzbach was the historic town, with a castle and a walled old centre on raised ground. Rosenberg grew up around mining and iron works. On a map, the two cores are still easy to tell apart.
Iron shaped this place for centuries. The ore of the Upper Palatinate supported a major steelworks, the Maxhütte, and its large industrial site leaves a distinctive block on the plan of the Rosenberg side. The old town of Sulzbach, by contrast, has narrow, winding streets around its castle and churches. Wooded hills surround both parts of town.
A Sulzbach-Rosenberg map poster brings together two very different urban textures in one frame: a medieval residence town and a nineteenth- and twentieth-century industrial settlement. Between them run residential streets, rail lines and the valley roads that connect the town with Amberg and the rest of the Upper Palatinate.

Industrial Rosenberg
The former steelworks site takes up a large area on the Rosenberg side, a broad industrial block that reflects the town's iron-making past.
Wooded hills
Forested high ground surrounds the town. It frames the settlement and adds soft, open areas to the edges of the poster.
