Desert grid
Wide avenues and large regular blocks spread across the plain. The result is a clean, open pattern with plenty of space between the lines.

关于地图
Tabuk Map Poster & Print
Tabuk lies on an open plain in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, with mountains to the west and the Red Sea coast beyond them. The modern city is laid out in broad blocks and wide avenues. It has grown outward in rings, and on the map it looks like a regular grid set into a pale, open landscape.
The old centre is much smaller. Here stands Tabuk Castle, a fort rebuilt in the Ottoman period to serve pilgrims on the route to Mecca, and nearby is the station of the historic Hejaz Railway. The town is also known from early Islamic history as the destination of the expedition to Tabuk in 630.
Around the city, groundwater irrigation has created large farms with circular fields, one of the most recognisable patterns in the region when seen from above. A Tabuk map poster combines a planned desert grid with the traces of the old pilgrim route.

Castle and station
The old fort and the Hejaz Railway station mark the historic core. It is small and compact compared with the modern city that grew around it.
Irrigated circles
Centre-pivot farms beyond the city appear as perfect discs on the land. This geometric motif is unusual in any map print.
