关于地图
Tailândia Map Poster & Print
Tailândia is a municipality in northeastern Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon, and it is much younger than most towns of its size. It grew from a late twentieth-century settlement project along the PA-150 highway. The map still shows that origin: a straight road axis with a planned grid of streets spreading out on both sides.
One of its more curious features is its name, which is the Portuguese word for Thailand. The surrounding landscape has changed a great deal in recent decades. Forest has given way to pasture, timber extraction and large oil palm plantations, which appear from above as regular blocks beside the remaining woodland.
A Tailândia map poster captures the geometry of a planned frontier town. It shows evenly spaced blocks, a highway running through the centre and side roads reaching into the countryside. Small streams wind through the land around it, softening the rigid street pattern, and the edges of the grid show where the town is still growing.

Planned grid
Streets meet at regular right angles in evenly sized blocks, a clear sign of a town designed on paper rather than grown over centuries.
Plantation blocks
Around the town, large rectangular areas of plantation and pasture sit beside patches of remaining forest, forming a bold patchwork at the map's edges.

为什么选 Tailândia
一张有意义的地图
Many families in Tailândia came from other parts of Brazil to build a life here, and a map of the town is one way to mark that story. Its orderly grid also makes a striking graphic print for anyone drawn to planned towns.
You can change the title and subtitle, perhaps to the year your family arrived, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles and download six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, or order a printed poster.
