关于地图
Tamana Map Poster & Print
Tamana lies in the northwest of Kumamoto Prefecture, where the Kikuchi River crosses a broad coastal plain before it reaches the Ariake Sea. From above the land is almost flat and divided into a fine rectangular grid of rice fields and irrigation channels. The town centre gathers near the river, and low hills rise to the north and east.
The Ariake Sea is known for its very large tidal range, which exposes wide mudflats at low tide. The coast near Tamana was shaped by land reclaimed from these shallows over centuries. On a map the shore appears as long, straight embankments rather than a natural curve, a quiet record of how people pushed farmland out into the sea.
A Tamana map poster brings these layers together: the river, the drainage channels, the grid of fields and the compact streets of an older town. The Tamana Onsen hot-spring area forms a small district of its own, and the railway and roads toward Kumamoto and Ōmuta give the composition direction.

Reclaimed coastline
Straight embankments and polder-like fields line the shore, creating an unusually geometric coastline shaped by centuries of land reclamation.
Rice field grid
Irrigation channels and field boundaries cover the plain in a fine, regular pattern that turns the outskirts into a detailed texture around the town centre.

为什么选 Tamana
一张有意义的地图
Tamana is a considered choice for people from Kumamoto, for visitors who spent time at its hot springs, and for anyone drawn to the way flat farmland meets a tidal coast. The geometry of the reclaimed shore is striking in any style.
Add a custom title, a date or name in the subtitle, and a coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint for the web of channels, or Sand for a warmer tone.
