关于地图
Tanque Novo Map Poster & Print
Tanque Novo lies in the interior of Bahia, in the semi-arid country of the sertão, a long way inland from Salvador. The town is small, and from above it appears as a neat block of streets arranged in a mostly regular grid, with open squares near the centre and houses thinning out quickly into the surrounding land.
The name means 'new tank' or 'new reservoir', a reminder of how much stored water matters in this part of Brazil. Around the town, the map is spare: rural roads and dirt tracks run out toward farms and neighbouring communities, and seasonal watercourses leave faint curving lines across the landscape between them.
Because there is so little clutter around it, a Tanque Novo map poster has a strong, simple shape. The grid sits in the middle of the page like a small, carefully drawn plan, and the roads leading away from it give a sense of the distances that define life in the Bahian interior.

Roads into the sertão
Several roads leave the town and continue across open country, connecting it to farms and other municipalities in the Bahian interior.
Open surroundings
Wide areas with little development surround the town, so the poster shows the settlement clearly framed by empty space and a few thin lines.

为什么选 Tanque Novo
一张有意义的地图
For people who left the Bahian interior for Salvador, São Paulo or further afield, a map of Tanque Novo is a quiet reminder of where things began. Anyone who knows the streets will recognise their shape at a glance.
Replace the title with a family name, add a subtitle or date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand in particular suits the dry landscape. The files come as a 300 DPI PNG and a PDF in six sizes, with no watermark.
