Mtkvari River bends
The river curves through the centre in a series of broad bends, crossed by old and new bridges, and gives the whole composition its strong, flowing spine.

关于地图
Tbilisi Map Poster & Print
Tbilisi stretches for many kilometres along the valley of the Mtkvari River, known in other languages as the Kura. The river cuts a winding course through the city and hills rise steeply on both sides, so the map is long and narrow, with streets stacked in terraces above the water and bridges stitching the two banks together.
The name comes from the Georgian word for warm, a reference to the sulphur springs that still feed the domed bathhouses of Abanotubani in the old town. Above them, Narikala fortress runs along a ridge, and across the river the curving glass Bridge of Peace links the old town with Rike Park. Rustaveli Avenue runs northwest from Freedom Square as the city's main axis.
A Tbilisi map poster makes the capital's topography unusually legible. The river's bends, the green slopes of Mtatsminda above the centre and the dense lanes of Sololaki and the old town all show up clearly. Newer districts spread along the valley in both directions, so the composition keeps the long, directional feel of a city shaped by its gorge.

Narikala and the old town
The fortress walls follow a ridge above the sulphur baths, and below them the old town's short, twisting lanes form the densest texture on the map.
Mtatsminda ridge
The mountain rises steeply behind the centre, reached by a funicular and topped by a television tower, leaving a broad green space above the central streets.

为什么选 Tbilisi
一张有意义的地图
Tbilisi is a city people take to quickly, whether they come for a long weekend or stay for years. A map of the valley, the river and the old town is a thoughtful keepsake of that time, and it also works as a quiet statement of Georgian roots.
Write your own title, perhaps a neighbourhood name, then add a subtitle and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, including Noir and Paper. HD files cost $9 and cover six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
