Parisian cemetery
The cemetery's large, formal layout of straight paths and rectangular sections forms a strong geometric pattern on the map, unlike anything else nearby.

关于地图
Thiais Map Poster & Print
Thiais is a commune in the Val-de-Marne, just south of Paris, close to Orly airport. From above, it is defined as much by large infrastructure as by its streets. Motorways and main roads cut across the area, and several very large sites occupy much of the map, with residential neighbourhoods fitted into the spaces between them.
Among those sites is the Cimetière parisien de Thiais, one of the cemeteries run by the City of Paris outside its limits, laid out on a formal geometric plan. The commune also borders the Rungis international wholesale market and is home to the Belle Épine shopping centre. The older village core survives as a small area of irregular streets.
A Thiais map poster shows this unusual mix clearly: the ordered avenues of the cemetery, the broad shapes of logistics and retail sites, the dense suburban blocks, and the motorways binding it all together. It is a striking, almost diagrammatic image, and one that residents of the southern suburbs will recognise at once.

Rungis and Belle Épine
Wholesale market buildings and the shopping centre appear as large, bold blocks. They show how much of the commune is given over to regional functions.
Motorway framework
Major roads cross and border the commune. Their broad curves and interchanges create a strong framework around the residential streets.

为什么选 Thiais
一张有意义的地图
Residents of Thiais, people who work at Rungis or Orly and anyone who grew up in the southern suburbs will find this map unexpectedly handsome. It shows a real place with real structure, not a postcard of Paris.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with an address or a year. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the commune's engineered look.
