关于地图
Tirunelveli Map Poster & Print
Tirunelveli lies in the far south of Tamil Nadu, on the Thamirabarani River, one of the few perennial rivers in the state. The city grew as a pair of towns. Tirunelveli Junction and the old town lie on one side of the river, and Palayamkottai on the other, linked by bridges. The Western Ghats rise to the west, beyond a plain of fields and irrigation tanks.
The old town grew up around the Nellaiappar Temple, a large complex dedicated to Shiva and Parvati. Palayamkottai has long been known for its schools and colleges, and is sometimes called the Oxford of South India. Tirunelveli halwa, a rich wheat-based sweet, is one of the city's best-known products.
A Tirunelveli map poster shows the river as the line that both divides and joins the city. The temple area has a dense grain, Palayamkottai has a more open layout, and farmland and tanks surround both. It is a well-balanced composition, and it suits a place whose identity has always come from two towns side by side.

为什么选 Tirunelveli
一张有意义的地图
Tirunelveli is a place many carry with them after moving to Chennai, Bengaluru or abroad. A map of the river and its two towns keeps the memory of family and school years in view.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or a festival date. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
