Mill sites
Large, regular industrial sites along the river interrupt the street pattern. Their simple outlines contrast sharply with the dense lanes around them.

关于地图
Titāgarh Map Poster & Print
Titāgarh lies on the east bank of the Hooghly in North 24 Parganas. It is part of the long chain of industrial towns that runs north from Kolkata. The town is small but densely built, and its map is a crowded mesh of narrow lanes between the river and the railway. Large rectangular industrial sites break up the pattern and stand out clearly.
From the late nineteenth century Titāgarh grew around jute and paper mills, which drew workers from across eastern India. Industry still defines the town, and it is known as the home of Titagarh Rail Systems, which builds railway wagons and coaches. It sits directly beside Barrackpore, along the same stretch of river.
A Titāgarh map poster makes that density easy to read: the pale river on one side, the railway on the other, and between them a fine grain of lanes broken by the solid outlines of the mill sites. It is a portrait of a working town, drawn without colour or decoration.

River edge
The Hooghly forms the western boundary of the town. This broad open band gives the crowded map a clear, calm edge.
Dense residential lanes
Between the factories and the railway, narrow streets form a tight, fine-grained mesh. It is the darkest and most detailed part of the poster.

为什么选 Titāgarh
一张有意义的地图
Titāgarh has been home to generations of mill workers and their families, many of whom now live elsewhere in India. A map of its lanes and riverfront keeps that shared history in view, in a form that suits any room.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates to add a name or a year, and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Choose the $9 digital files or a printed poster on matte paper, framed or unframed.
