West Liao River
The river runs in several shifting channels across a wide floodplain. It is the one flowing, irregular form on a map otherwise made of straight lines.

关于地图
Tongliao Map Poster & Print
Tongliao lies in eastern Inner Mongolia, on the broad Horqin plain where farmland gives way to grassland and sandy ground. The West Liao River passes the city in a wide, shallow valley, and its channels and floodplain set a soft southern edge to the urban area. North of the river the streets form a large, even grid of long avenues. The layout reflects a city that grew fast as a rail and trade junction.
The surrounding Horqin area is known for its Mongol heritage and for decades of work to stabilise sandy land with shelterbelts and new planting. On a map those efforts appear as straight tree lines and field boundaries on the plain around the city. The railways meeting here link Tongliao with Shenyang, Beijing and northern Inner Mongolia.
A Tongliao map poster shows the contrast between the river's loose, organic shapes and the city's strict geometry. It works well as a clean black and white print, with almost every line on it straight except the river.

Long avenue grid
Central Tongliao is divided by long east–west and north–south avenues into large blocks, a clear and legible pattern even at small print sizes.
Rail junction
Several rail lines meet on the edge of the city, their curves and yards adding a technical layer that suits the minimalist style well.

为什么选 Tongliao
一张有意义的地图
Tongliao is the kind of city people remember for its wide streets and big skies. A print of its plan is a quiet reminder of home for those who have moved away to Beijing, Shenyang or further.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to change, so the poster can carry a name, a date or a short phrase. Then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
