Tuensang Map Poster & Print
Tuensang is the headquarters of one of the eastern districts of Nagaland, in the hills close to the border with Myanmar. It is home to several Naga communities, and the town serves as a hub for trade, schooling and administration for a wide area of scattered hill villages.
The terrain shapes everything on the map. Instead of a grid, Tuensang follows the ridges: the main roads run along the high ground and switch back as they climb or descend, and houses cluster on whatever level land the slopes allow. From above, the town looks like a series of branching lines, each tracing a spur of the hills.
