关于地图
Tumbi Map Poster & Print
Tumbi lies just west of Tabora town in central Tanzania, on the broad interior plateau. The map here does not show a dense centre. It shows a loose spread of roads, homesteads and cultivated fields, with tracks crossing flat ground and wooded areas filling the gaps between them.
The Tabora region is known for its miombo woodland and for farming, with tobacco long an important crop in the area. Tumbi's position near the regional capital links it to the roads and to the central railway corridor that runs through Tabora. On a map, the settlement pattern becomes looser the farther it gets from town.
A Tumbi map poster works best as a study in openness. Instead of a crowded street grid, the design picks up a sparse network of lines and the soft edges where fields meet woodland. It is a calm, spacious image, well suited to a hallway or study wall, and a reminder of a very particular corner of central Tanzania.

Plateau tracks
Long unpaved tracks cross the flat interior plateau and link homesteads and fields. In black and white they form a fine, irregular web.
Woodland and fields
Open miombo woodland and cultivated land surround the settlement. Together they create broad empty areas that give the poster a light, airy composition.

一张有意义的地图
For anyone with ties to Tumbi, whether through family, farming or time spent in the Tabora region, this map records a place that big atlases tend to leave out. Its sparse lines suit a minimal interior.
