关于地图
Turaru Map Poster & Print
Turaru is a small community in the interior of Ceará, in northeastern Brazil, set in the semi-arid sertão west of Fortaleza. It is a place of modest scale: a handful of streets around a central area, with homes extending along the roads that lead in and out. On a map, it appears as a small, clearly defined cluster in a wide rural landscape.
The surrounding country is typical of the Ceará backlands, with low hills, scrubland and fields worked by small farms. Water is precious here, and small reservoirs, known locally as açudes, appear on the map as irregular shapes scattered across the terrain. Seasonal streams connect them, flowing mainly during the rainy months early in the year.
Little has been written about Turaru beyond the region, which makes the map an especially honest portrait. A Turaru map poster shows a small place in its landscape: a compact centre, the roads that tie it to neighbouring towns and the reservoirs and streams that shape life in the sertão, all in a clean monochrome line.

Açudes
Small reservoirs dot the surrounding terrain. Their irregular outlines add soft shapes to the composition and hint at the importance of water in the region.
Rural road network
Dirt roads and tracks cross the hills towards farms and neighbouring communities, a loose web of lines that fills the frame around the town.
