关于地图
Unggi Map Poster & Print
Unggi is the older name of the port town now officially called Sŏnbong, in the Rason area of North Korea's far north-east. The name still appears in historical sources and on older maps. It refers to a small harbour on a bay facing the open sea, not far from the mouth of the Tumen River.
From above, the harbour is the natural focus. Quays and port structures define the waterfront, the town extends back from the shore in a compact street pattern, and low hills rise behind it. Lagoons and marshy ground line parts of the nearby coast, making the edge between land and water intricate rather than straight.
An Unggi map poster reflects that older identity: a harbour town at the very end of the Korean coastline, close to where China and Russia begin. In black and white the bay, the quays and the surrounding hills make a spare, balanced image, well suited to anyone interested in historical place names and the geography of borderlands.

Harbour front
Quays and port structures mark the shoreline. This is the busiest part of the waterfront and the reason the town grew in this location.
Old name, same place
Unggi and Sŏnbong describe the same town, and choosing the older name suits a print meant to recall historical maps and earlier accounts of the region.

为什么选 Unggi
一张有意义的地图
Some people prefer place names as they knew them, or as their grandparents did. A poster titled Unggi keeps that older name visible while showing the town's geography accurately, which suits anyone researching family history or collecting maps of the Korean Peninsula.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can pair Unggi with Sŏnbong or add a year. Pick one of five styles: Paper and Sand give an archival feel, while Noir makes the coastline stand out.
