Greenhouse plain
Rows of greenhouses fill the Campo de Dalías. Their rectangular plots and service roads form a precise, repeated pattern that dominates the lower half of the map.

关于地图
Vícar Map Poster & Print
Vícar is a municipality in the province of Almería, on the Campo de Dalías, a broad plain between the Sierra de Gádor and the Mediterranean. Its population is spread across several settlements, and the historic village sits higher up on the mountainside, while newer centres such as La Puebla de Vícar have grown on the plain.
The plain is famous for its greenhouses. From above, thousands of plastic-covered structures form a dense pattern of rectangles, one of the most recognisable agricultural landscapes in Europe and a major supplier of vegetables. On a map, the plots and access roads create a fine, highly geometric grid.
A Vícar map poster shows two landscapes at once: the steep, folded terrain of the mountains to the north and the flat, carefully divided plain below. The small streets of the villages appear as denser clusters within this pattern, giving the print an unusual, almost abstract quality.

Sierra de Gádor
To the north, the mountains rise sharply, with winding roads following the slopes. The contrast with the flat plain gives the composition its structure.
Scattered centres
Vícar is not a single town but several settlements, from the old hill village to the newer plain towns, each appearing as a separate knot of streets.

为什么选 Vícar
一张有意义的地图
Vícar is a working landscape shaped by agriculture and the people who built it. A map of the plain and its villages is a meaningful piece for families who live there or have worked in the greenhouses.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line. The poster comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and each style gives the greenhouse pattern a different character.
