Colonial grid
The centre is a clear checkerboard of streets around the cathedral and the plaza. It is one of the most regular historic layouts in northern Mexico and prints with a crisp, even rhythm.

关于地图
Victoria de Durango Map Poster & Print
Victoria de Durango, usually just called Durango, is the capital of the state of the same name. It was founded in 1563 on a wide valley floor at nearly 1,900 metres, and its historic centre still follows a regular Spanish colonial grid of straight streets and square blocks, anchored by the cathedral and the main plaza.
North of the centre stands the Cerro del Mercado, a hill rich in iron ore that has been mined for a long time. It is a distinct landmark in the landscape: on the map, the rigid grid of the city runs up against the uneven outline of a mining hill. Newer districts spread south and east across the flat valley along main roads.
The historic centre is part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the old royal road from Mexico City to the north, which is listed by UNESCO. A Victoria de Durango map poster shows how that colonial order still sits at the heart of the city, surrounded by later neighbourhoods laid out at slightly different angles.

Cerro del Mercado
An iron ore hill just north of the old town. Its irregular shape and the mining roads around it break the grid in a way you can see immediately on the poster.
Valley setting
The city spreads across a broad, flat valley floor, so its edges grow outward along highways and irrigation lines rather than being held in by hills or water.

为什么选 Victoria de Durango
一张有意义的地图
Durango is a city people often leave for work or study and still think of as home. A map of the old grid and the surrounding valley is a steady reminder of it, clear enough to read from across the room.
Personalise the title, add a date or a family name in the subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates. Choose one of five styles; Sand and Paper suit the dry high-desert setting, and Blueprint shows off the colonial grid.
